Why offer mindfulness to healthcare providers in training?

The healthcare field is a high intensity, high stress environment that can lead to burnout and exhaustion. Mindfulness is an antidote to help your students and trainees destress and find balance in their lives. Students report feeling more present, less stressed, well rested and have greater physical and emotional well-being. Research has shown that mindfulness increases empathy, self-compassion and awareness of implicit bias.

The thing is:

to experience the benefits of mindfulness, you have to carve out time and intention to sit down and do the work.

Let me help you with that.

My mission

I am on a mission to bring a life-changing mindfulness program to healthcare professionals in training; in support of their path to creating meaningful lives, guided by inner wisdom and grounded in personal ethics, and in service to caring for themselves, their patients and their families.

Hi. I’m Erica.

I am passionate about bringing mindfulness to healthcare communities because I have seen the transformation in the students that I teach through these practices.

Being part of a medical family, first as a child growing up, and then, as a spouse and parent, I’ve seen how the work gets carried to all aspects of a medical professional’s life. My intention with this practice is to share tips with students on how to manage stress, overwhelm and fatigue so they can take care of themselves, their patients, and their families.

I love hearing stories that my students share with me of how they feel more grounded in their lives, they have a clearer sense of who they are and what’s important to them, and they feel they have more time and energy.

I have taught mindfulness to hundreds of individuals and in many communities and would be honored to bring these practices to your training program.
